  • 2019 05 > Ignacio G. Galán to join the Architecture Department at Barnard+Columbia Colleges as Assistant Professor. Ignacio will continue to teach courses in Architectural Design and the History and Theory of Architecture.

Additionally selected for the FAD Award, International category with the exhibitions On Residence and In Residence.

  • 2016 09 08 > The Oslo Architecture Triennale 2016: After Belonging, curated by Lluis A. Casanovas, Ignacio G. Galán, Carlos Minguez, Alejandra Navarrete and Marina Otero opened in Oslo its two core exhibitions (On Residence at DogA and In Residence and the National Museum Architecture) and celebrated the After Belonging Conference at the Oslo Opera House. The opening weekend launched also the Academy, the extended program, and presented the book After Belonging: The Objects, Spaces, and Territories of the Ways We Stay in Transit, published by Lars Muller.

     

  • 2016 09 01> The Advanced Studio "Hybrid Residential Infrastructures in Rio de Janeiro" taught by Juan Herreros and Ignacio G. Galán at Columbia GSAPP was awarded the inaugural Studio Prize by ARCHITECT, with a jury composed by Jeanne Gang, Jimenez Lai, and Bernard Tschumi.
